Card # 1 Instructions- Easy & Quick

Card Preparation
- Step 1: Start by cutting a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 5-1/2 X 8-1/2. Score in landscape style at the 4-1/4 mark. Next, fold the card in half and burnish with a Bone Folder.
- Step 2: Cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 5-3/8 X 4-1/8. I used Whisper White for both. One is your card front and the other is your card insert.
- Step 3: Cut a strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 1″ X 5-3/8. I chose to use a gray pattern from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.
Stamping & Painting
- Step 4: If you place the DSP you just cut flat above your card front so you can ‘eyeball’ where it will be glued down later. Now you can stamp the poppies from the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set. Stamp 2 of the small poppies, and 2 of the large poppies. Then stagger the stamped images so they start at the top of the card and reach the bottom of your card when finished. You should have left about a 1″ space on the left side of your card. This is where your DSP strip will go later.
- Step 5: Using the solid stamp in the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set ink it up with Blushing Bride Ink but stamp it down once on a scratch piece of paper (or grid paper). Then stamp it again (without re-inking the stamp) over top of the poppies you already stamped on your card front. The impression will be bigger than the image of the small poppy. That’s OK! This technique is called “Second Generation Stamping” Do this for all 4 poppies on your card.
- Step 6: Now, choose a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set and stamp it on Soft Sea Foam with Memento Ink.
- Step 7: Stamp the leaves from the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set 3 times on a scrap piece of Whisper White. Then use a Water Painter to paint the leaves with some Soft Sea Foam Ink. You can ‘squish’ your lid into the ink pad to transfer ink to pick up from the pan of your ink pad. Or you can add a few drops of Soft Sea Foam from a Reinker to the pan of your ink pad.
Stamping the INSIDE of your card
- Step 8: Using the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set, stamp the cluster of poppy flowers on the card insert with Memento Ink. Use the small ‘slatter stamp’ with some Blushing Bride Ink and stamp it all over the tops of the poppies, wherever the flowers are in a random fashion.

Die Cutting & Assembly
- Step 9: Grab the label and 2 leaf dies from the Painted Label Dies to cut out the sentiment and leaves. Cut them out with your die-cutting machine. Add dimensionals to the back of your label once it’s cut out.
- Step 10: Place the leaves on your card front so the stems are hidden behind the sentiment label. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card. I leave the ends of each leaf free of glue so I can curl them up when displaying the card. Then add your Metallic Pearls to the sentiment label.
- Step 11: You can now glue the DSP strip to your card front. Then it’s time to glue your insert and card front to your card. I always use Multipurpose Liquid Glue for these steps. It allows me some ‘wiggle room’ to make sure everything is lined up nicely.
Card #2 Instructions – Step It Up A Little!

Card # 2 Preparation
- Step 1: Start by cutting a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 5-1/2 X 8-1/2. Score in landscape style at the 4-1/4 mark. Next, fold the card in half and burnish with a Bone Folder.
- Step 2: Cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 5-3/8 X 4-1/8. I used Whisper White for the card front and Smoky Slate for the card insert.
- Step 3: Cut a strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 1″ X 5-3/8. I chose to use a gray pattern from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.
Stamping & Painting Card #2
- Step 4: If you place the DSP you just cut flat above your card front so you can ‘eyeball’ where it will be glued down later. Now you can stamp the poppies from the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set. Stamp 2 of the small poppies, and 2 of the large poppies. Then stagger the stamped images so they start at the top of the card and reach the bottom of your card when finished. You should have left about a 1″ space on the left side of your card. This is where your DSP strip will do later.
- Follow Step 5 on Card #1
- Step 6: Now, choose a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set and stamp it on Soft Sea Foam with Versamark Ink and heat emboss it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
- Step 7: Same as steps on Card #1. Then add the small splatter stamp from the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set stamp with Pear Pizzaz Ink on top of the painted leaves. You will also add the large splatter stamp on top of all your poppies on your card front with Blushing Bride Ink.

Stamping the INSIDE of Card #2
- Step 8: Using the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set, stamp the cluster of poppy flowers on the card insert with Versamark Ink and heat emboss it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
Die Cutting & Assembling Card #2
- Emboss the 1″ DSP Strip with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
- Follow steps 9 – 11 on Card #1.
Card #3 Instructions- Going all out!

Card # 3 Preparation
- Follow Steps 1-3 on Card #1.
- In addition, cut another strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 1″ X 5-3/8. I chose to use a pink pattern from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.
- You will also want to cut a 3-1/4 X 5-3/8 piece of brick background DSP from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.
Stamping & Painting Card #3
- Steps 4 – 5: Stamp the poppies on a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock. You will stamp these the same way that was explained for Card #1 in Steps 4-5. But this time you will be die-cutting each flower.
- Step 6: Now, choose a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set and stamp it on Soft Sea Foam with Versamark Ink. BUT!! Before you heat emboss it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, use a paintbrush and remove the embossing powder from the word “Happiness” Then heat emboss it. Stamp the same sentiment again on a piece of scrap white cardstock. Fussy cut out the word “Happiness” so the cutting curves around the word. Then add some Mini Dimensionals and place the word over the non-embossed word on your Soft Sea Foam Label.
- *Fussy Cut* Means to cut closely leaving a little bit of white around the image.
- Step 7: Same as Card #2 Except this time, stamp 4 leaves.

Stamping the INSIDE of Card #3
- Step 8: Using the Poppy Moments Cling Stamp Set, stamp the cluster of poppy flowers on the card insert with Versamark Ink and heat emboss it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Use the small ‘slatter stamp’ with some Blushing Bride Ink and stamp it all over the tops of the poppies, wherever the flowers are in a random fashion.
Die Cutting & Assembling Card #3
- Step 9: Grab the label and 2 leaf dies from the Painted Label Dies to cut out the sentiment and leaves. Cut them out with your die-cutting machine. You will also want to die-cut the large leaf from the Poppy Moments Dies in Soft Sea Foam. With Basic Black Cardstock die cut out the poppy centers in the Poppy Moments Dies too. Add dimensionals to the back of your label once it’s cut out.
- Step 10: Add Pear Pizzaz ink (with a Water Painter) to the extra Soft Sea Foam leaf the same way that you colored the other leaves. Once it’s dry, cut it into 2 pieces to use on both corners of your sentiment label.
- Step 11: Emboss the two 1″ inch DSP Strips with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder
- Step 12: Glue the 2 DSP strips to the left side of your card. Leaving 3/8″ of an inch exposed on each piece. Then glue the brick DSP to a piece of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon so only the silver of the ribbon edge shows on the left side of your DSP. Then glue this to your card front.
- Step 13: Glue black flower centers to the poppies. Arrange all your flowers and leaves on the card front. Once you have them placed where you like it’s time to begin gluing everything down. Add your sentiment label with Dimensionals at the end.
- Step 14: Now it’s time to glue your insert and card front to your card. I always use Multipurpose Liquid Glue for these steps. It allows me some ‘wiggle room’ to make sure everything is lined up nicely. Finally, add the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front on the brick DSP in a way that pleases you.
