Christmas Wreath Window Card

Stampin Up Christmas Wreath Window Card 2021

I feel like it’s been soooo long since I uploaded a blog post. While I can’t say I actually miss writing them, I certainly miss sharing with you. For this Christmas Wreath Window Card, I have a tutorial and a video for you today.

Christmas Wreath Window Card

As you may already know, I’m very fond of wreaths. Especially wreaths on cards. Creating wreath cards for my 2021 Easter Card and my 2020 Christmas Card just to name a couple. There’s just something I love about using a wreath as the focal point of my handmade card. What do you think? While I plan to talk you through the process of making this card I also created a YouTube Tutorial for you that you can watch on YouTube or here on my blog. The video is below for your convenience.

I started out with some Gray Granite, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape, and Basic Black cardstock. Choosing a color of cardstock for the 3 wreaths (Seasonal Swirls Dies) before die-cutting each of the 3 wreaths in 3 different colors. Use Stampin’ Blends to color some silver foil to create an endless amount of foil-colored elements. The Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend was a great choice for some of the smaller pieces of foliage.

Trimming/altering a couple of the wreaths allowed the front of my card to not feel so ‘busy’ and drew the eye to the sentiment which was my focal point. I glued all the wreaths then positioned all the bits of foliage I had previously die-cut to be sure there was a good balance before gluing them down. Adding a couple of snowflakes from the So Many Snowflakes Dies seemed to be the perfect touch. Using my Stamparatus enabled me to be sure I had a perfect placement for the sentiment inside the card. Which of course, peeks through the wreath so perfectly.

Gems, rhinestones, and sequins add the perfect amount of bling and sparkle to finish off the card. Scroll down for a full supply list with photos and links to the products for your convenience. For an even more in-depth tutorial be sure to watch the YouTube video.
