I’ve started completing my collection of Time Holtz Distress Oxide Inks over the last month or so and figured I would eventually buy the Ink Refills. However, when it comes to the Distress Oxide Sprays I have to put a limit somewhere Ias this all adds up and can be very expensive. Not to mention I don’t use them very often in my Tutorial Videos. But of course, my wheels started turning, and even though I’ve been infamously labeled as the “Concoction Queen”, but even I have my limits! I think I may come to be known as the Stampin’ Up! Mixologist! haha Feeling confident and thinking I might get lucky I started playing. Could I come up with a recipe that acted at least somewhat like the Tim Holtz Distress Oxides?
After a lot of trial and error, I finally came up with a respectable DIY Distress Oxide Ink. Keep in mind, if you do a DIY do not expect the exact same results as the product you are trying to replicate. I think you will be pretty impressed with my recipe as not only do the Oxide Inks behave very similar there are only 3 ingredients! Have you been making my Splatters & Sprays?
