How to HEAT TRANSFER FOIL Die Cuts
Might you be asking yourself “What exactly is she talking about”? Well, let me explain. I wanted to find a way to create my own foiled elements on my cards without breaking the bank! Have you seen the price of a Minc Machine? NOt to mention the price of endless images printed with toner. You see, heat transfer foil adheres to toner. So this got me thinking… what if I had my own images printed with toner? Problem was, I don’t have a printer that prints with toner. Not many people do. They are very expensive. Therefore I decided that I would take some images to my local print shop and have them print them for me. As all print shops have toner printers.

But wait! That’s when an idea came to me! What if I had them print an entire sheet of cardstock in black so I could then die-cut elements from it to heat foil and use on my cards. I was so excited! I ran to my local print shop with an image of a black rectangle. They helped me choose the right cardstock (about 80 or 90 lb white) and printed me 20 sheets for less than $10.00!!
