Spellbinders September Clubs Hop Loving Christmas Wishes

Spellbinders September Clubs Hop

Welcome to the Spellbinders September Clubs Hop!

What are Spellbinders Clubs?

One of the most exciting thing about Spellbinders is their Clubs. With clubs, you choose the Club that appeals to you the most (FYI  – There’s an “I want it all bundle” – for those that are like me and can’t choose) and each month Spellbinders mails it to your door. So essentially, each month you’re a member it’s like sending yourself a Christmas Gift. You know, just for being your fabulous self!

Which clubs are best?

If your budget allows you to just choose one or 2 of the Clubs during the Spellbinders September Clubs Hop I recommend the Glimmer of the Month, the Small Die of the Month, and the Stamp & Die of the Month. All this of course, is for my A2 card lovers. I find these are some of the best choices, but then again, the Large Die of the Month and the APG Die Club is also a fun choice for cardmaking too depending on what the dies are. Oh, and then there’s the Embossing Club too…Arg! I forgot about that one. Hmmm… The Embossing folder is pretty too. Have you seen it’s colossal size? It’s good for literally EVERYTHING!

Loving Christmas Wishes Card

Spellbinders September Clubs Hop Loving Christmas Wishes

My Spellbinders September Clubs Hop card inspiration. I’m obsessed with cutting the leaves apart after foiling with the Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. I just love the wat they look in a variety of settings. For this card I pulled some elements from the Christmas Flea Market Finds. If you like vintage then you’ll love all the elements in this collection. I’ve linked the supplies used to create this Loving Christmas Wishes Card below.

Creating the Loving Christmas Wishes Card

Once I had my sights set on the elements I wanted from the Christmas Flea Market Finds the rest was easy. I hot foiled the Thankful For You (September 2022 Glimmer of the Month Plate) in gold on some gold vellum I had in my stash. I cut the leaves apart then nested them behind the gorgeous laser cut cardstock with the printed image and text. These married together splendidly. I embossed some random green cardstock with the Geo Screen Embossing Folder and that was it! So easy right?!

My Favorite Halloween Card

I’d already created this card, but I wanted to include it as it really shows what you can do with stamps & dies to maximize your stash. As you can see I used dogs from the Special Pet Delivery Etched Dies to dress up and pop into the trailer from the Thankful Tractor (September Large Die of the Month). You can see the blog post for this card here.

Enjoy!

Extra Cards

Being new to the Spellbinders Influencer Team I was sent a lot (and I mean A LOT) of items all at once and I got a little mixed up. This here card on the left was ‘supposed’ to be my card for the hop but I used the October 2022 Small Die of the Month on it so I can’t show it to you, but I can show you a little teaser. Stay tuned to see how I made this card next month.

      1. The only word I can think of is: FUN! Thinking outside the rectangle (shape of a card😉) seems to be your strength! Thanks for the inspiration!

  1. Welcome to the Spellbinders team! Clever idea to cut “…the leaves apart after foiling.” A great tip and I am obsessed with foiling so this was definitely a favorite for me. Love how you combined the vintage with the foiling. Your technique has inspired me to look more closely at the Christmas Flea Market Finds Collection by Cathe Holden! Look forward to seeing more of your projects.

  2. I love that you used the foiled leaves in a different way to create your vintage-themed card. Very clever and a great way to stretch the use of the foil plate. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Love the colors for your Halloween card! Wonder how much paper and ink I’ll waste to try and get it to look like yours! Hopefully I can get close…always fun trying.

  4. Well, so cool! my name is also Cindy Lynn! two of of us out there lovin’ the crafty world 🙂 Your cards are fabulous, and I can totally see myself using an October item in September! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

  5. I love that you did a Christmas card with the hot foil leaves. All this time I was thinking of it as a Autumn only kind of item.

I love hearing from you!
